Comments on the statistics

All forecasts, even this one, do not show in exact terms how the development will be, but rather offer an image of how things may turn out. This is a forecast for the Öresund region's future development. The results and conclusions presented in this report are, thus far, the best forecast for the Öresund region development in the long term. The results are based on two different economic models, which have been adapted such that they consider the financial crisis and the Öresund region in their calculations. The assumptions that the crisis will soon be over and those regarding the subsequent economic development are based upon analyses from the Swedish Ministry of Finance. No close links between the two models have been made and they can be criticised for not giving full consideration to the integration that is already in place in the Öresund region.
